AMATEUR RADIO CLUB

I. Secretary
It shall be the duty of the secretary to keep the Constitution and By-Laws of
the club and have the same with him at every meeting. He shall cause all
amendments, changes and additions to be noted thereon and shall permit the
same to be consulted by members upon request.
II. Membership
Full membership is open to licensed amateurs. Additionally, it is contingent
upon a willingness to support the purposes of the club. Associate membership
is open to all other interested persons. Associate membership includes all
club privileges except for the right to hold office and vote. Applicants will
be voted upon during the monthly meeting and approved upon a simple majority.
A. Membership reinstatements. An inactive member dropped from the
membership for more than one year may be reinstated by a majority vote at
any of the regular business meetings and payment of balance of the annual
dues for that year.
III. Meetings
Regular meetings shall be held on the first Tuesday of each month at such
place as the President shall order. Special meetings may be called by the
President at the direction of the Executive Board and with the notice being
provided in writing or via the Thursday night net.
IV. Dues
A regular monthly assessment of $2.00 per member is hereby assessed in
accordance with the provisions of Article III of the Constitution for the
purpose of providing funds for current expenses, with the following
exceptions: (amended July 2, 1991)
$24.00 for individual members.
$36.00 for couples.
$40.00 for family members of 3 or more.
$6.00 for students under the age of 18.
Dues for new members will be pro-rated.
Licensed amateurs under the age of 18 may be accepted as associate members
with out being required to pay dues.
V. Business Meetings
The business meetings shall be conducted by the Executive Board. The results
of all business meetings will be reported to the membership at regular monthly
meetings. The Executive Board will meet from time to time to plan activities,
carry on club business necessary to provide operation from month to month. All
decisions made by the Executive Board requiring disbursement of monies in
excess of $100.00 or requiring a vote of the membership will be presented at
the next regular meeting.
VI. Committees
A. Special committees may be appointed by the President whenever required.
B. The out-going President will present the incoming President with a list
of standing committees and a recommendation of which committees to retain. The
list will be provided one month before the end of the current Presidents term.
C. The incoming President will announce which committees are being retained
at the first meeting of the incoming Presidents term.
VII. Mail
A post office box will be maintained at the main post office in Lawton, OK for
the business use of the club.
VIII. Visitors
All regular monthly meetings are open to the public.
